Factory News

Slavs of New York! today posted news about Andy's last factory finally going condo. It's been in the works for years and is now happening.

We Andis would love to see photographs of freelance 'Andis about town' snapped in front of the building. Or snapped in front of any of the former Factories. Send us a link at andi.warhola@yahoo.com when you do.

Slavs of New York! notes that the final factory has three addresses: 19 East 32nd Street, 158 Madison Avenue, and 22 East 33rd Street. They also note the addresses of the other Factories:
The first Factory was on the fifth floor of 231 East 47th Street from 1964-1968, then 33 Union Square West until 1974 when it moved to 860 Broadway and was rechristened The Office.

Andy was a Capatho-Rusyn

Slavs of New York! noted this in May and featured us. Too bad we missed the parade last month in Pittsburgh, but are glad to now know that a Capatho-Rusyn is a Slovakian. Like Andy.

It's always good to know one's roots.

Andy was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
